Science behind C-Section Scar Release Therapy

C-Section Scar Release Therapy (SRT) is a scientifically published scar reduction technique that is simple and highly effective for reducing the negative influence of scars. SRT uses the latest scientific advances to address both chronic pain and dermal scarring that occurs post-trauma or surgery. SRT applies Microcurrent Point stimulation, or “MPS”, a patented solution that is based on the scientific concept of increasing skin’s inter-cellular metabolism, protein synthesis and healing functioning, to re-awaken the skin’s ability to self generate. SRT is so effective in releasing scars, that it actually reduces the scar size!

How C-Section affects you

Having a baby is a momentous, powerful, and life altering event! Today, one out of three women give birth with surgical interventions known as a Caesarean Birth. That means that 1.3 million women have a c-section per year. C- Section is one of the most common surgeries performed in the US. All surgeries can be difficult even when planned, but when unforeseen medical issues require the birth of a baby by C-Section, it tends to carry negative emotions that may get locked in the body.

C-Section Negative Impacts

It is well known scars and traumas impact the body in negative ways. They restrict or bind the fascia, muscles, nerves, bones, organs and systems. They produce a straitjacket like effect throughout the entire body structure! They block the movement of circulation and energy which can interfere with health and wellness. Scars cause sympathetic nervous system up-regulation and acts as stress agonists, creating an environment for sickness and pain.

C-Sections are Known to Cause

Sympathetic (fight/flight) stress: The highly innervated skin reacts negatively when injured, and post-operative scars provide 24/7 SNS irritation leading to tighter muscles, reduced blood flow and a shutting down of our digestion/elimination. Stress is also linked to emotional imbalances such as anxiety & depression.

Fascia Injuries: fascia which connects to all muscles and organs of the body are injured during cutting altering its very structure and changing our functional movements.

Adhesion Formation:  inside our bodes these internal scars form acting as internal “strait jackets” by restricting organ, viscera, fascia and muscle movements, producing pain.

Science with Proof

Our Experience of the application of Micro Point Stimulation Scar Release therapy to C- section scars resulted in markedly improved pain in patients who had long-standing symptoms. The preliminary but impressive ultrasound findings showing the dramatic reduction in the fibrous/fascial mass after just one session of Micro Point Stimulation Scar therapy of 35 secs adds credence to the efficacy of this procedure in relieving pain symptoms from a simple inexpensive method of treatment. Micro Point Stimulation scar release therapy impacts on distant locations of pain; this challenges the traditionally held concepts of diseases and its pathophysiology. Abdominal and C-section scars may now be viewed as significant systemic contributors to pain and dysfunction throughout the entire body. The overuse of Csections cannot be justified, and it is imperative, that the entire practice is reviewed to stem the rising use of this procedure. Wherever possible a delivery should happen in a home friendly environment, which is conducive to good health for mother and child.

By targeting direct cellular stimulation of microcurrent waves through the scars, this simple and discomfort-free procedure works by reducing stress, dermal trauma, adhesions and fascia restrictions to reduce pain. These results are published science, as this simple and discomfort free procedure is proven to deliver 73.2% pain relief after a single application. (IJCAM 2017).
